Blomsterserviet – red/orange – Marlene Thorndahl (MTH)

Flower Napkin – Red/Orange is a design that plays with time. Although the napkin is an entirely new design from 2026, the graphic floral shapes and the warm red and orange palette clearly evoke the colour world and visual language of the 1970s. The result is a napkin with a distinct retro atmosphere, interpreted in a contemporary and refined way.

The repeated floral border forms a clear frame around the napkin and creates a calm, balanced overall impression. The colour composition is warm and inviting, yet restrained enough to work well in both modern and classic table settings. The napkin is particularly well suited for autumn tables, brunches, coffee settings, or as a colourful accent in an otherwise neutral arrangement.

The napkin is embroidered in cross stitch on Haandarbejdets Fremme Linen 12B using Danish Flower Thread, ensuring high quality, crisp stitch definition, and a durable result. The combination of carefully chosen materials and a well-considered pattern makes the embroidery enjoyable to work on and beautiful to use again and again.

The design is created by Marlene Thorndahl and distributed by House of Needlework as part of the Haandarbejdets Fremme assortment—showcasing a strong dialogue between new design and Danish embroidery traditions.
