The motif consists of twelve herbs, each embroidered in its own panel. The plants are shown with clearly defined roots, stems, leaves and flowers. Beneath each motif, the plant\u2019s name is embroidered, giving the piece the character of a traditional botanical plate.<\/p>\n
Among the motifs are thyme, watercress, hyssop, St John\u2019s wort, rosemary and sage. In addition, caraway, curly mint, dill, heartsease and peppermint are included. Together they form a cohesive whole with both variation and visual harmony.<\/p>\n
