Tray runner with Flowers – Blue/Green is a decorative embroidered band designed by Marlene Thorndahl. The graphic floral motif repeats in a calm rhythm, forming an elegant border that adds character to trays and small tables. The colour palette moves in muted blue and green shades with a clear reference to 1970s textile design.
Although the inspiration is distinctly retro, the design is entirely new and developed in 2026. This creates a balanced expression where nostalgia meets a contemporary approach. The look is graphic and light, making it easy to integrate into both modern and more classic interiors.
The tray runner is embroidered in cross stitch on a narrow linen band with 11 threads per cm. The firm structure of the linen provides clear stitch definition and ensures an even, durable result. The embroidery is worked with Danish Flower Thread, known for its matte finish and rich colour depth. The yarn supports the blue and green tones and gives the motif a sense of calm and cohesion.
