"Blomsterbånd" (Floral Band) - pink - bookmark - Tanja Dinesen Skudstrup (TS) is an embroidery kit with a narrow and floral motif. The bookmark has pink flowers, green leaves and light contrast fields. The colours give a soft and fresh expression that suits the small format beautifully.

A floral band inspired by Sødring and Randers Fjord

On a perfectly still day, sky, sea and horizon can almost merge at Sødring. Pink and blue tones settle like long, calm bands. The water mirrors the sky, and the boundary between sea and air can, for a moment, almost disappear.

This atmosphere has been carried into Floral Band. The motif is not a direct depiction of a landscape. Rather, it is an interpretation of colours, layers and calm. The pink flowers, green leaves and light fields form a narrow pattern, where repetition creates the whole.

The motif is built up as a vertical band. The pink flowers run through the bookmark and create a fine rhythm. The flowers have warm tones, giving the motif a calm and friendly expression.

Between the flowers are green leaves. They give the motif fullness and freshness. At the same time, they create a good contrast to the pink shades.

Along the side are light and blue-grey fields. They break up the floral band and give the bookmark a more structured composition. The narrow format therefore becomes both decorative and clear.
