This version of Hyacinths is embroidered on Haandarbejdets Fremme Linen 12B, giving the table runner a finer and more detailed appearance than the version worked on a coarser fabric. The motif is identical, but the higher thread count creates a lighter and more refined stitch surface, allowing the shapes and colour nuances of the hyacinths to stand out clearly.

Gerda Bengtsson’s floral designs are characterised by a precise botanical eye and a calm composition. Here, the hyacinths stand upright and well balanced, arranged in a repetition that gives the runner rhythm without appearing heavy. The characteristic blue vases anchor the design and provide a beautiful contrast to the flower heads in shades of pink, purple, and red.
