Mælkebøtte – cushion – Gerda Bengtsson (GB)
The motif shows a dandelion viewed close up. The serrated leaves spread low across the surface. From the centre grow several stems bearing both flowers and seed heads.
The yellow blossoms appear open and clearly defined. A few seed heads are rendered as light, airy spheres, creating variation and reinforcing the botanical character.
The reddish stems create contrast against the green leaves. Subtle colour transitions add depth to the composition, while small details emphasise the distinctive form of the plant.
The motif is wide and horizontal, naturally suited to the cushion format. The composition appears calm and balanced.
Dandelion – cushion – Gerda Bengtsson (GB) is worked in cross stitch with Danish Flower Thread on linen. The clear colours produce a lively result. The finished embroidery appears as a classic nature motif.
