"Morgenfruer" (Marigolds) in basket – wall piece – Gerda Bengtsson (GB) is a small botanical embroidery featuring a basket filled with blooming marigolds. The round flowers in warm orange tones appear closely among green leaves and delicate branches, while small red blossoms add an extra touch of colour to the motif.
The composition is built around the woven basket, which forms a solid base for the flowers. Above the edge of the basket, stems, leaves and blossoms spread outward to the sides, creating a full and lively arrangement.
The colours are warm and strongly contrasted. The orange marigolds stand out clearly against the green leaves and the golden tones of the basket, while the small red flowers add an additional decorative detail.
