Skoven del 3 – wall piece – Edith Hansen (EH)
"Forest Part 3" is an atmospheric wall piece in which Edith Hansen works at the intersection of nature and abstraction. The motif shows three tree trunks with branching, leafless crowns placed within a landscape divided into planes and lines. The forest is reduced to structure, rhythm and colour, and the overall impression is both poetic and analytical.
The composition is vertical and balanced. The tree trunks are staggered in depth, creating a sense of space and perspective. The bare branches stand out clearly against the background, forming a graphic network that ties the surface together. Diagonal lines in the background interrupt the organic forms and introduce tension and direction.
The colour palette is muted and nuanced. Grey, brown, and green tones dominate, interacting with cooler blue and green planes in the landscape. The colours are laid out in clearly defined fields, giving the motif a crisp, contemporary expression. Danish Flower Thread supports this with its matte surface and precise colour rendering.
Linen 10B provides a calm, natural base that allows both planes and lines to stand out clearly. The fabric’s texture adds a sensory depth and enhances the interplay between the graphic elements and the craftsmanship.
Forest Part 3 – wall piece – Edith Hansen (EH) works as a standalone wall piece, but can also form part of a series alongside the other motifs from Forest. For retailers, the design is well suited to assortments focused on modern embroidery, graphic interpretations of nature and Danish design, where form and concept go hand in hand.
