Forest Part 1 is an atmospheric wall piece in which Edith Hansen explores the structures of nature within a strict and modern visual language. The motif presents three tree trunks with bare branches, placed in a landscape divided into colour fields and geometric planes. The forest is not depicted as a specific place, but as a rhythm of forms, lines and transitions.
The composition is vertical and balanced. The tree trunks stand side by side, creating a clear rhythm across the surface, while the branches spread upward to form an open, graphic network. The landscape beneath the trees is divided into diagonal and horizontal fields, adding depth and movement and breaking the organic elements with a more constructed expression.
The colour palette is muted and harmonious. Brown and grey tones in the trunks are combined with green and blue hues in the landscape. Small patterned areas add variation and texture without dominating the overall impression. Danish Flower Thread gives the colours a matte surface and ensures a clear yet calm colour rendition.
