P1:5 - bag - by renée

P1:5 - bag - by renée is a decorative cross-stitch embroidery kit, designed by Swedish designer Renée Rudebrant. The motif consists of black, flower-like forms with small red details, repeated in vertical rows. Narrow borders separate the rows and give the graphic pattern a clear rhythm. The finished bag measures 24 × 30 cm.

The inspiration for the design comes from the garden of one of the designer’s close friends. Here, the flowers grow together in groups, so different plants and colours form distinct areas. This structure has been transferred to the embroidery, where the repeated motifs form cohesive pattern fields.

The black flower forms are built up of precise cross stitches and have red central sections. A narrow red line connects the motifs through each row. The combination of black, red and light linen creates a striking expression, while the small colour details give the pattern life and variation.

Graphic cross stitch inspired by flowers

The motif combines organic flower forms with a strict geometric structure. The vertical rows make the design calm and easy to read, while the variation between the black surfaces and red details adds depth.

Between the pattern rows are narrow borders with red and black stitches. They highlight the vertical form of the bag and make the individual flower motifs stand out clearly. At the bottom, the bag is finished with a wide section of black fabric, creating balance in the design.

Danish Flower Thread on HF linen

The embroidery is stitched with black and red Danish Flower Thread. The matt surface of the thread suits the graphic motif well and gives the cross stitches a natural expression. The red colour works as a clear contrast to the black patterns without dominating the whole.

The embroidery is stitched on Haandarbejdets Fremme linen 10B. The visible structure of the fabric gives the embroidery a lively surface and allows the light background to become an active part of the motif.

Complete embroidery kit with finishing materials

P1:5 - bag - by renée contains linen, Danish Flower Thread, needle, instructions and finishing materials. You therefore receive the materials for both the embroidery and the subsequent finishing.

Once the embroidery is finished, it is made up into a practical bag with a black fabric base and drawstring closure. The bag can be used for storing yarn, embroidery accessories or smaller needlework projects.
